APPROPRIATE DRESS
At South Park Middle School, we want to create an environment conducive to learning. We view the school as a work site with the expectation of professionalism and success. Therefore the following dress code exists:
- Masks are optional
- Hats/headwear/hood/coats allowed only outside
- Undergarments, cleavage, & midriffs should not be showing
- Shoulders should be covered
- Short shorts/skirts should not exposure of buttocks or undergarments.
- No wearing of items that reference alcohol/tobacco/illegal drugs, sexual references, gang-related, or other inappropriate topics for a school setting
- Pajamas/pajama or lounge pants/slippers should not be worn at school (unless there is a special dress up day)
If dress is deemed inappropriate, the staff or principal/designee will ask the child to change, cover up, or go home to change. In some cases items may be confiscated until parents are able to pick them up.

At South Park Middle School we are dedicated to providing the best educational program possible for our students. Should something occur that you have a question about or are unhappy about, please give your child’s teacher a call first. If you are unable to resolve the issue call me, Joe Pitsch, Principal at 424-0431 ext. 2703 so that we can work together to address your need. If you have a concern that you have been unable to resolve with me, you may call the OASD District Office at 424-0395. They will help you address your concern and/or connect you with others who can help.

South Park Middle School is using video surveillance/electronic monitoring to observe, monitor, and/or record the behavior and activity of all persons on school property or grounds, or participating in school functions.
